Large-Scale Paintings

This series of work was my first on a large scale which includes concepting and developing 18"x24" renderings in order to create the final pieces that reached 5'x3'.

The process for these involved image based research on a given theme,  creating 8 thumbnail concepts based off the research, narrowing down the ideas to two, and then deciding on the final composition with a scaled down rendering. After completing the rendering, I went to the large-scale to begin working on the final.

 Choosing to use spray paint and pens allowed me to create landscape pieces that portrayed the assigned theme, while also taking on a graphic style. On top of changing scale, I was assigned to create all 5 of these pieces concurrently in order to enhance my time management and ability to take on multiple long-term projects.
